面对这次全球性的疫情危机，大学始终秉承着将学生的健康和安全放在首位的原则。

自疫情发生以来，格拉斯哥大学一直与学生、教职工和英国政府相关部门保持紧密的沟通，在大学官网和官方微博微信官方平台及时提供指导与建议，在不同阶段推出了许多紧急备案。

在此阶段，格拉斯哥大学将自 3 月 16 日星期一正式暂停一切线下授课，所有课程改为网上教学。大学暂时不会完全关闭，图书馆等基础设施仍将保持开放，以满足部分学生的需求。

大学将督促各学院、研究所以及大学各部门负责人就教学安排和校园服务等提供具体的建议，同时大家也应当尽量保质保量地完成自己的课业任务。

原定于 4 / 5 月的考试将不会在校内考场进行，考试如何开展的具体形式仍在Zui终确认中。

但请大家放心，在将大家的健康和安全放在首位的同时，格拉斯哥大学将确保每一位学生能够按时完成学业并顺利毕业。

亲爱的同事和学生们，

正如我几天前在邮件中所说的那样，新型冠状病毒疫情的发展充满着不确定性。我们正在尽Zui大努力向格拉斯哥大学大家庭中的每一员提供尽可能多的信息和指导，我深刻理解大家目前的不安和顾虑。

Dear colleagues and students,

As I outlined in my message a few days ago, the Coronavirus outbreak is moving quickly. We are doing our best to engage and inform our community with as much information and guidance as possible, but I appreciate how worrying and unsettling things must be for many of you.

I promised to let you know of any developments and today I want to advise of a major change in University policy.

The University has been making contingency plans that will allow us to develop alternative approaches for the delivery of assessment and teaching if this needs to be changed. 

课程评估与测验的具体安排仍在Zui终确定中，但原定于 4 月和 5 月的期末考试将不会在校内考场进行。

The specific arrangements for course assessments are still being finalised but we are in a position now to say that exams scheduled for the April/May assessment period will not be undertaken in exam halls on campus.

各学院及研究所将根据如何下载课件、资料以及如何进行远程评估提供指导，也请大家给予学院、研究所以及大学各部门负责人们Zui大的理解与支持。

Schools and Institutes will provide guidance on how to access teaching materials and what the arrangements will be made for assessments to be taken remotely. We will be providing this as soon as possible. Please bear with us as colleagues in schools and institutes prepare this information.

我们知道，这是学年中一个Zui为繁忙的时刻，校方将竭尽所能将影响降到Zui低，并阐明教学规划的Zui新安排。在此我也希望各位能够密切留意学校、各学院及研究所在未来几天的邮件。

Students should pay close attention to the communications that Schools and Institutes send out over the coming days, and in which the teaching and assessment arrangements for programmes of study will be explained. We understand that this is a busy and demanding period of the academic year when assessments are in the forefront of everyone’s mind.  We will do all we can to minimise disruption and to clarify the arrangements for programmes of study. We urge students to look out for formal correspondence from the Schools and Institutes.

This is a continually evolving set of circumstances and we ask everyone to keep up to date with the University Web Pages, Moodle and other sources of University information.

Of course, the health and wellbeing of staff, students and our wider community will always be our top priority. We are taking a lead from the public health authorities and would urge everyone to heed the advice that has been given and which can be accessed via on our Coronavirus web pages.

If you feel unwell, call NHS24 on 111; if you have a persistent temperature or cold - even if the symptoms are not consistent with COVID-19 - you must self-isolate for seven days.

Over the coming period, it may be necessary to restrict movement on campus and even to close some areas.  However, even in this scenario there will be parts of the University that will, and must, remain open for health and safety reasons.

Flexible working may be an option for many of us – there is guidance available on the website.

The decisions that we have made not been taken lightly. I know that there will be considerable disruption for some. However, they are designed to both reduce the risk of infection and to provide clarity on what this University will do, during a period of great uncertainty.
